This East Lancs bodied Dennis Dart SLF has had a checkered history. New to the independent Dennis's operation in Manchester which was taken over by Stagecoach, the bus gained Stagecoach livery and became Stagecoach Manchester 33097 (Y952XRN). It was then transferred across the Pennines and worked for Stagecoach East Midland at Chesterfield before passing to Stagecoach Yorkshire at Sheffield where it is seen in August 2014.

Stagecoach

As Stagecoach built up its presence in Sheffield based on the Yorkshire Traction fleet, it transferred buses from within its operation. As Yorkshire Traction had a non standard fleet when compared with the rest of Stagecoach, odd balls acquired with other takeovers gravitated to Yorkshire. This DAF SB220, albeit with Wright bodywork, fitted well with with Tracky's SB220s. The bus, 26127 (YJ04HLC) was new to Rapsons in Inverness and is seen arriving at SHOWBUS in 2009.

A former London Traveller East Lancs bodied Volvo B6LE found its way into YTC's fleet of B6s. Yorkshire Traction had a 35% holding in London Traveller, which it later sold to Thorpes. It is seen here alongside Keighley & District's Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL 2703 (Y703HRN). The B6LE became 31960 (V510EFR) is the Stagecoach national numbering system.
