Continuing the large number of electric buses featuring recently Paul McSherry, our regular contributor from Northern Ireland was in Newcastle-upon-Tyne recently and took this picture of one of the new Voltra branded Yutong E10 buses in use in the city by Go North East. This is 8806 (ND70AEX). These are not the first electric buses in the city as Stagecoach tried some New Zealand built Designline Olymbus buses in 2004 on the QuayLink service along the banks of the Tyne.
