It is good to show a photograph of a unique bus, so we make no apologies for showing it for a second time. Previously it featured in worse weather conditions in Sydney the day after Australia Day. SEE IT HERE. The only Volgren Optimus bodied Volvo B9TL doubledecker it was intended to enter service with Hillsbus alongside Bustech CDi deckers, but it fell foul of some nuance of New South Wales legislation so it has been transferred within CDC Delgro to the Melbourne division operating in the Westrans Werribee area, now all disappearing into the rebranded CDC Melbourne. Most local buses were in the new PTV orange livery like 135 (BS01GV) now bedecked in PTV vinyls having had the TNSW blue chevrons peeled off - a definite improvement! The bus is seen at the new Wyndham Vale V-Line railway station and is currently confined to the 190 route linking it to Werribee Station. Apparently it has the weekends off as the weekend schedules interact with other routes. Despite tree deflectors, the upper deck screen has a crack in the top nearside corner already, maybe Volgren need to redesign that feature. Having ridden the Volvo to Wyndham Vale the next journey was on a contrasting Volgren bodied bus to Hoppers Crossing, but the step entrance Volvo B10M was still in Werribee blue livery, albeit with CDC Melbourne fleet names.
