Probably the most beautiful Enviros in the world are Coast Mountain Bus's Enviro500MMC buses. On our previous visit in late 2019 only a handful had arrived and none had entered service, but now over fifty are in service. They are primarily used on relatively long distance services which start beyond the city centre and reach out to the far suburbs of Vancouver. Here 21411, delivered in 2021 hence the first two digits of its fleet number, is headed for Scottsdale on the 340. It is leaving 22nd Street Station, an important interchange on the Skytrain rail line, but with no other amanity around. The Station was also host to Vancouver's first electric buses back in 2019, which were opportunity power fed with an impressive gantry installed at the Station's Bus Station. However the elelctric bus fleet was spotted parked up in Hamilton depot and the charging gantry was out of use! Clearly they need some help from the Dutch who seem to have opportunity charging licked.
