Arriva the Shires Mercedes Citaro 3012.
Newer buses have arrived in High Wycombe from Arriva Midlands in the shape of four year old Mercedes Citaros, detined to replace fifteen year old DAF buses. Freshly painted in MAX livery style, though not branded as such yet, Citaro 3012 (BJ12YPX) is seen on the relatively new Cressex Circular service 34. This was introduced when the town's Park & Ride was relocated from Cressex to the new Coachway at Handy Cross. If you want to see one, Arriva the Shires is expected to bring one along to SHOWBUS on September 25th at Donington Park. Several more are due in Wycombe and may end up displacing Volvo B10BLE buses from the Reading 800/850 services which are facing competition from Carousel Buses using new wifi equipped Wright Streetlites on an hourly X80 to Reading, following the 800 route. The end to end journey time is over an hour and a quarter and oddly the X80, branded as the Regatta service, takes a few minutes longer than the 800 to complete the journey. So no gold medals there - maybe a silver?
