In the quest for a new venue for SHOWBUS we visited the Bicester Heritage site at the former RAF Bicester base. The attraction of nearby Bicester Shopping Village would have been a bonus as would the ready assistance of local operator, Red Rose who operate the Aylesbury to Bicester service, on Sundays too. The site is home to a growing collection of classic cars in restoration. However the amount of hard standing was insufficient and cars and exhibits would have had to share an entrance directly off a busy road. On the plus side we found this former Midland Fox MCW Metroliner tucked away inside, Fox 7050 (C50VJU), now used as a support vehicle for SWB Motorsport. The awning on the nearside attaches to the former motorway express coach.
