Having already bought some Optare Solo SR buses Melbourne's long standing operator - since 1924 as it says on every vehicle - Ventura bought six Tempo SR models a year ago. Unlike the Solos they are not in PTV livery and were delivered in plain white, which suggests they were dealer stock. They are single door 58 or 59 seaters and therefore not suited to bus work and have simply had Ventura decals added to their white base matching other contract or hire vehicles in the fleet. Doubtless they are use on school runs, but 1312 (BS03WP), the first of the batch, seen in Dandenong depot on Christmas Day was enjoying its Christmas break.
