Norseman, Western Australia, population around 1000 sits half way between Esperance on the south coast and the mining town of Kalgoorlie, both over two hours drive away. To the west is Perth, six hours away and to the east the Nullarbor Desert. Google Maps app struggles to locate it. Not the place one would expect to find a former London Transport AEC Merlin! But there it was on Friday morning, by the looks of things a neglected caravan conversion, surrounded by some Spring desert flowers. It appears to be one of around seventy (10%) of the MB/MBS/MBA class single door buses used in London that ended up Down Under but all entered service with east coast operators.
