Christians Volvo B7R ABM Starliner 160
Christians operate buses and coaches over a wide part of western regional Victoria. They have expanded their fleet through takeovers, recently acquiring both the sizeable operations of Bacchus Marsh Coaches and Gold Bus of Ballarat. This 1999 ABM Starliner bodied Volvo B7R came with the operations of Walker's Bus Service in Bendigo, where Christians had also acquired the Kangaroo Flat Bus Services of Bendigo Coachlines giving them a near monopoly of bus services in the area where they already operated buses. The Starliner, 160 (1950AO) had recently transferred from Bendigo to Warrnambool where it is seen on a school run, two weeks ago, along the Princes Highway which skirts the main town centre. The Volvo is in an old Christians colour scheme, replaced some time ago by a new white based livery with something of a "Wizard of Oz" yellow brick road colourful graphic. This too is being replaced with a new simplified yellow sun logo above a blue and green V-shape and some similarly coloured squiggles towards the rear of the vehicle and an italicised "christiansbus" fleetname in blue.
