Merseysiders will be familiar with the Italian built Tecnobus Gulliver electric powered bus. A batch has been running in St Helens since 2012. The reasonaby successful early electric has found homes in France, Quebec, Madrid, Gladbeck in Germany, Viana do Castelo in Portugal and, of course, Italy. This one is seen in Rome on Monday and belongs to the local authority, ATAC and is their 683, branded, like the rest of the fleet, as ROMA ATAC, which sounds like some sort of terrorist underground group! The little Tecnobuses scurry round on a route through some of the city's narrowest alleyways and lanes.
