Donric Mercedes O405NH Volgren CR225L 68
Big changes have happened in the Donric Group in Auatralia's state of Victoria. A significant chunk of the business was disposed of to Christian's comprising both Bacchus Marsh Coaches and Gold Bus of Ballarat. This leaves just Sunbury Bus Service, the rail replacement bus operation T2B and Organs of Kyneton in Victoria. The group also has operations in Queensland, Trans North and Bowen Transit.
With the Sandringham line out of operation all this week - it was only supposed to be a weekend disruption - T2B and others were kept busy carting around bus loads of fresh air with the reduced demand due to the virus situation. The entire T2B fleet comprises former Transperth Volgren CR225L bodied Mercedes O405NH buses displaced by new Optimus bodied Volvo B8RLE buses in WA. Seen outside Windsor Station on Chapel Street headed for the city on Tuesday was Donric branded 68 (3668AO), former Transperth 1756 (TP1756), a mere twenty year old. Its fleet number is in Sunbury's series and its livery matches that fleet's too. It remains to be seen if the entire operation is to be rebranded Donric or if 68 is a one off. It does have a sister vehicle 67 (BS02GX), formerly 1166 (TP1166) in Perth, but its livery is unknown.
