Transdev John Holland Custom Denning Element 3127
Having been spotted a couple of months ago gathering dust in the yard at Waverley depot the ten all electric Custom Denning Elelments allocated to Transdev John Holland in Sydney at last entered service on Thursday, the delay possibly due to commissioning of the charging equipment. Another twelve are allocated to Busways at their Penrith depot west of the city. At least two of those are painted in the bright blue "Breathe easy" livery, as are two of Waverley's, the rest are in standard TfNSW insipid blue with nothing to indicate their green credentials. The 22 buses have been built over the last twelve months and it is not thought Penrith's have been used until recently too. Others are allegedly due for Keolis Downer on the Northern Beaches. One is destined to head for the UK to be used by Rotala in the North West, maybe even a doubledeck version. The Dunn family now own Custom Denning in Australia and other family members are invested in Rotala. This is 3127 (3127ST) seen on the route to the Airport from Bondi Junction, another was noted heading across the city in the opposite direction. This looked like a bold confident move as opposed to confining them to route close to the depot, however the Elements all appeared to be back in the depot through till today!
