Scott Maxwell sent us this photo of his Plaxton bodied Bedford VAL70, XUR290K, as it was when new with Golden Key down in Bognor Regis. The coach has been to SHOWBUS, most noticeably for the VAL celebration in front of the American Air Museum at Duxford in 2012 wearing the vivid orange livery of Abbeyways of Halifax - see here. Scott had hoped to bring it to SHOWBUS this year but events overtook him, however he is hoping to respray the coach this year in its original colours, so it may be ready to debut at SHOWBUS 2025 on July 13th. Unfortunately Scott is missing some vital finishing touches in the shape of side trims and badges, sun blinds and the Unusual mid mounted indicators.
