 Receiving attention in the workshops was another Austral DD1, 57 (0131AO) but a GM powered integral with 6 extra seats now withdrawn. The coach has a checkered past serving with Coppa Coaches of Thirlmere in New South Wales, Dunkley's of Toowoomba in Queensland, Greyhound Pioneer Australia, Bus Australia and, originally, Queensland operator Intertour Express. The coach is in the colours of Kangaroo Flat Buslines. Bendigo were responsible for the bus services in Bendigo, trading under the Kangaroo Flat name, but sold the operation to Christians. |

 Visiting Bendigo in February 2012, the hospitable George Dawson, proprietor of Bendigo Coachines drove me from his depot to his home to show me his Bedford OB under restoration. Finished externally it made its debut at Sandown in 2013, looking much different to this picture 21 months earlier. |
