The Queen Victoria Building is always a good place to find Forest buses coming from the north. Making a change from the favoured Custom Coaches bodywork this Mercedes O405, 7279 (MO7279), has a Volgren CR221 body. The near three year old bus was seen in January 2001.

 Outside the Orchard Tavern a year later was low floor Mercedes O405NH 7712 (MO7712). The bus joined the fleet a year after 7279 and also sported Volgren bodywork, unfortunately the ugly bug eyed CR221L. |
 Seen opposite Heritage Surf in Manly in January 2002 with a rare Custom CB50 body is 7831 (MO7831). The bus is two years newer than 7831 but was not built on the low floor O405NH but the older O405 chassis. |
| car that tells folk to "Keep Walking" was probably not the best way to encourage use of the monorail in January 2002, but now it is no more walking is the only way to easily reach Darling Harbour from the CBD! Beneath is a Forest Custom bodied Mercedes O405. |
Bug eyed 7712 was seen again outside Chatswood's Orchard Tavern in August - obviously a regular!
