 The Gold Coast University Hospital terminus is underground as the line buries itself in the hillside in its last few metres. Escalators and lifts lead to the Hospital and stops for connecting bus services, one of which continues to Helensvale Station where the line extension is headed. With only one line in the terminus 04 takes a short break before heading back to Broadbeach South to make way for the next arriving tram.
