Occasionally one finds a really attractive setting for a bus depot. The Lithgow depot is one such, the yard of buses against the backdrop of a hillside and - in early November 2013 - beautiful clear blue skies.

Part of the line up in the yard was 2 (2169AO), the first of four Custom 200 bodied Mercedes O400 buses delivered in 1995 to the then Jones Brothers Bus Company, since split under Buslines Group ownership into Lithgow Buslines and Bathurst Buslines. Mercedes 2, seen having done its run on the morning butterfly school route, is in the old Jones green striped livery.

A trio arrived two months later. Receiving a spruce up in the depot itself is the first, 3 (2189AO).

Meanwhile the last of the trio, off the owl school run, was in the yard line up, 5 (2166MO).

With the later Custom 510 body is 6 (2205MO), off the lion run, the first of a pair delivered in 1999.
