 Before adopting the unrelieved livery, the Westbus Group trialled this stylised red relief for a while as seen on MAN 15.220 622 (0186AO) in Box Hill Bus Station in August 2002. |
Before the stylish CB range, Custom tried this ungainly chunky style of bodywork, the 550, seen on Mercedes 714 (1771AO) in Flinders Street in August 2002.

 Seen in Box Hill in April 2007 is Mercedes O405NH 722 (1722AO) with the same Custom 550 body but painted in the revised livery, virtually eliminating the red, other than in the fleetname. |

 As 722 rounded the corner it met 448 (2448AO), a Mercedes LO812 also with Custom coachwork. |

 Mercedes O405NH 719 (1719AO) was wearing this contrasting black livery in April 2007 as a promotion for the network though with old and new styles of fleetname in evidence - note too the red wheels. |
