 In 2008 a CBD downtown shuttle was started up. This was a free service and proved extremely popular. Around half a dozen 2004 Volvo B12BLE buses were wrapped in green vinyls for the service. Volvo 1509 (MO1509) is seen with another of the batch loading at Circular Quay over Christmas 2008 on the anticlockwise loop to Central Station. The Shuttle came to an end in summer 2015 when George Street was closed to buses for construction of the tramway. No replacement bus was provided between Central Station and Circular Quay along parallel streets, free or otherwise. |

 For Christmas 2009 the CBD Shuttles were decorated appropriately. Volvo 1509 again is seen this time on the clockwise shuttle loading at Circular Quay. The buses ran every day over the Christmas and New Year with the service extended for late shopping. However there did seem to be lack of supervision with three buses spotted nose to tail at Central Station on New Year's Day around midday. |
