 From the end of September 2018 through till April 2019 a fleet of over 120 new buses was assembled by Hillsbus and Transdev for a network of Station Link services during construction of the new Metro line which disrupted rail services. The buses were given a special Staion Link livery based on the TfNSW scheme. The Hillsbus contingent was Volgren Optimus bodied Volvo B7RLE buses but Transdev used Bustech VST buses on Merdedes and Volvo B8RLE chassis. When Station Link ended the buses were used on normal Transdev services, minus the special livery. This is Hillsbus 6854 (MO6854) passing Volvo B8RLE 6801 (MO6801) at Epping Station in March 2019 with Ourbus Toyota HiAce DXK98B on demand service on the left.
