This St Kilda Road view in March 2014 shows three of the four liveries in use on Yarra Trams Comeng Z class trams. At the rear is Z3 210 in the livery that gave way to the geodesic design that was pioneered on Metro trains in blue and now adorns buses in orange, V-Line trains in purple and the trams in green. In the middle in the original Yarra Trams battleship grey is Z3 176 but in the lead is veteran Z1 19 in the refreshed intermediate livery with the white background.

A few days later 16 is seen as the sun sets at the Dandenong Road - Chapel Street junction on route 5 to Malvern. The 5 is paralleled for most of its route by the 64 and does not operate in the evenings with 64 trams displaying "via route 5" as part of their destination display. Very often during the day time 5 and 64 trams follow each other into and out of the city in lapse scheduling which is too common on so much of the city's public transport network.

Not on the 5 and 64, but on the St Kilda Road procession of trams, which progress at the speed of the one in front, helping to give Melbourne's trams the dubious accolade of the slowest trams in the world. This March 2015 view captures the rare sight of consecutively numbered Class Z1 trams 9 and 10 following each other at a time when the influx of new Class E trams was reducing Z1 numbers.
