The sustained destruction of buses in Birmingham caused some of the replacement Utility buses entering service to be painted military grey with visibility white markings.

Our Leyland National, registered UFG51S, fleetnumber 51, working route 36A to Brighton Old Steine, interestingly carries its green colours beneath the legal lettering, a reminder of past times in its history.
