A once common site bombing down the M4 from Victoria to Heathrow Airport was BOAC's fleet of fifteen Roe bodied Atleanteans. The coaches had large luggage areas downstairs with 16 seats and only another 18 upstairs. Passengers could check in at Victoria and be whisked straight to security at the airport. In 1974 BOAC and BEA were merged to form British Airways and not long after the service from Victoria ceased. The terminal building at Victoria is now an overflow for Victoria Coach Station. The coaches were LYF304-318D and luckily LYF307D has been preserved. It made its SHOWBUS debut in 2011 and appropriately was parked alongside Duxford's BOAC VC10.

A second view of LYF307D alongside the VC10. The opaque windows obscure the luggage area.

Chris Strong's official picture of LYF307D arriving at Duxford.

The bus was seen earlier in the year at the London Bus Museum's Dunsfold event.
