To give some idea of how the buses fitted into the town centre, this view is taken from the bridge over the stream through the town. The narrow shopping street at right angles to the main road through Sinsheim was parked nose to tail with buses. The IFA can be seen parked on the end of the line.

This beautiful Saurer, complete with floral tribute, was parked half on the bridge, with the Jumbocruiser tucked in behind. If you can "tuck" a Jumbocruiser anywhere!

Ahead of the IFA and one or two others in the the side street leading to the bridge was the oldest bus at the event, the 1923 International Harvester originally used on the London Brighton run. It made for an interesting sight as Rob Passaway and I sat to have our belated Saturday lunch at one of the pavement cafes opposite.
