 Deroofed tri-axle Neoplan Skyliners make an ideal bus for sightseeing tours. Big Taxi Tours used the iconic New York checkered cab as its inspiration for its tours, rather then the London red doubledecker. This is bus 22 seen in August 2010. |

A second view of Neoplan 22 as it pulls into one of its kerbside pick ups for the hop-on-hop-off service. There was no sign of Big Taxi Tours when New York was revisited in 2017, but the turnover in tour operators is quite high, they come and go, just like their tour buses!

 An interesting play on the city tour service was "The Ride". This Prevost coach had full depth glass windows on the nearside and a glass roof. Seating was arranged so passengers faced the pavement and engaged with pedestrians along the route!

 This final view in July 2017 shows the passengers waving at your photographer. The on board guide encouraged interaction with those not aboard as his or her commentary was audible from the sidewalk.
