The first Solos to be introduced into Manchester were operated on central city services by First Manchester
low cost subsidiary, Pioneer, based out at Rochdale.

Operations in the Rochdale area were marketed under the name of an acquired company, First Pioneer,
for a while. This ex Beeline and Centrewest Renault S75 with Wright Nimbus bodywork is seen in Oldham.
