Bus operator Grenda Corporation was also the local Volvo Bus dealer. A joint venture with Volvo to produce bus bodies at Dandenong in Melbourne resulted in the first Volgren bodied bus emerging in 1979. Ten years later Grenda relinquished the Volvo dealership and started building on other chassis. The company was sold to Brasil's Marcopolo in 2011.
