I am looking for a reconditioned or NOS propshaft (both sections) for my preserved 1958 built Bristol MW5G bus. The splines are worn causing the bus to vibrate in the direct drive 4th gear in the 28 to 35mph speed range. Does anyone know how this problem could be remedied or indeed know where a replacement propshaft could be obtained?

I am doing some research into my grandfather who was a coach driver in Torquay from the mid 1920's until he retired in the early 1960's. He worked for Townsend's, Grey Cars and Wallace Arnold. I have some photos from the early years and would like to do some research into the history of these companies. Do you know of any useful contacts, or know anyone who would be interested in seeing the photos? Regards, Mick Davis

For Sale
Blackpool transport Victorian bus shelter (Cast Iron) for restoration or project
I had started to restore the bus shelter but due to a change in family circumstances the project has had to be halted. This bus shelter has been carefully dismantled so as to aid transportation.
The outside measurements of the shelter are 12ft (L) x 6ft (D) x 10ft (H). It has been fabricated in cast iron with a wood support structure for the roof , I have kept the wooden support structure as a template but this would need to be replaced as would the wooden ceiling. Considering the age of the shelter it is in very good condition. Where damage has occurred I do have the pieces. It was suggested to me that it maybe possible to obtain spares direct from Blackpool Transport although I have not pursued this.
I have pictures of it prior to dismantling and once dismantled, if you would like to see these please e mail me.
I have proof of ownership and am open to any reasonable offer.
Buyer to arrange collection.
I live in Fleetwood in Lancashire Tel 0781 136 7341

During the world cup, I saw footage with a group of lads who had hired a 1970's Plaxton looking tour bus, previously belonging to The Who, for the football tour of Germany.
Apparently this bus is for hire, and is still decked out with Who memorabilia.
I am hoping to hire the bus, but have no idea where it might be.
Can you help at all?
Kind regards,

I have been trying for years to get hold of Firestone Airide airbags AR114 and AR115 for the suspension of my 1968 Bristol RELH coach. In the highly unlikely event of being swamped with offers, I know that there are at least 6 other RE owners equally desperate (some have even looked into remanufacture but it is too expensive).

I am a writer for Insideout Magazine, the Sunday Times interior design magazine and I am doing a feature about new uses for transport and looking at forms of transport that have been turned into either holiday homes, a little retreat at the bottom of the garden, an office, guestroom etc... I was wondering if you knew of anyone who had a bus that they have restored and turned into some kind of living area? I would really appreciate all the help you can give me.

I am trying to find someone to donate a good condition van/coach/double decker bus for a children's charity in Camberwell called Kidsco. See their website . They need it as they are rapidly running out of space. This is a fantastic, innovative charity offering support to vunerable and disadvantaged children in Londons Inner City (and their families as well half the time) Please get back to me with any info on this you can give me.
