OPENING TIMES


The site will open at 0930h (tbc) on Sunday September 29th. The site closes around 1700.

* Gates open for display entrants at 0800


ADMISSION FEES - CASH ONLY

Great news for this year we have been able to reduce the public entry fees.
Anyone under 5 is allowed in for FREE.
DOGS (under control) are allowed in for FREE.
Carer for disabled visitor: Free (one per disabled visitor) the Disability Living Allowance letter or similar will serve as proof of eligibility.
Anyone 5 or over and under 16, pays £5.

Standard admission on the day £15 with brochure.

Standard admission on the day £TBC without brochure.

Brochures if bought separately £5, Two brochures £7.

There will be no Advance purchase ticket sales this year.

Late entry (after 1500h) to view exit parade £5, under 16 free.

Separate charges apply for visiting the Whipsnade Zoo. Showing a SHOWBUS ticket will get you HALF PRICE admission. Full details of the Zoo and its charges here. A regular free shuttle bus will take you from SHOWBUS to the Zoo.

Car parking is free.

For those arriving on a SHOWBUS exhibit there are special entry arrangements which also apply to large parties & excursions. For details click here when available.

GETTING THERE



By Bus or Train
Check out our excursions from all over the country
Several bus services are planned with a commercial service from St Albans (both stations: Abbey with an hourly link to Euston and City on the Thameslink line) via the Verulamium Museum by Red Rose/Redline.
Carousel Buses Sunday service 1 between High Wycombe and Hemel Hempstead will be extended to SHOWBUS linking with the Marylebone line at High Wycombe and Amersham, the Underground at Amersham and Chesham and the Euston line at Hemel.
We also hope to have a service from Luton (St Pancras line) via the busway and Dunstable and with an easy connection to Luton Airport.


By Car
Parking is free at SHOWBUS.
The Hertfordshire Showground is on the A5183 (Dunstable Road), located just 300m off Junction 9 of the M1
The car park is the first entry to the Showground from the north having exited at junction 9.
From any direction follow the Department of Transport brown signs to the Hertfordshire Showground.

By Plane
From Luton Airport get the Busway service to the Bus & Train Station where we hope to run a regular service to Showbus via the busway - details later.
