 After clocking up well over 1000000km on the Great Ocean Road daily excursion, the Motorcoach Classic III decker had been completely refurbished for its retirement role on the Phillip Island Penguin Parade run, which is only slightly less arduous. The bus is like new inside. New vinyls can be glimpsed in the external shots depicting the famous penguins. As the Penguin excursion departs late afternoon the vehicle was free to participate at Sandown. Its replacement on the Great Ocean Road Run, Denning 65, was already half way down the famous road.  Its Great Ocean Road haul done for the day, 65 heads back from its last drop off at Federation Square, the usual starting poinr for all Melbourne excursions, in March 2014. Sadly the coach suffered severe fire damage in a depot fire around 2017, but has been rebuilt since. |
