 Seen in Swanston Street in November 2011 is car 4, one of the earliest Z class trams dating from 1975. Of perhaps equal interest is the Yarra Trams liveried Toyota operations vehicle parked at the kerbside. |

 In January 2012, car 9 is presented with an obstacle in Toorak High Street on route 8. Temporary points are laid behind the car to enable it to reverse away from the bridge works in front. An unco-ordinated connection across the bridge left passengers who had walked across the offending bridge to wait for a tram arriving from the city, which also had temporary points to negotiate. |

 Tram Z1 22may have hoped to be around for some time having been treated to the new livery, a scheme which suited it well, and a big improvement on the previous two liveries illustrated above. The tram is seen on a splendid summer's day on the St Kilda Esplanade in February 2012. |

 With Princes Bridge closed as the crowds build for the New Year's Eve celebrations in the city centre inbound trams are turned short at the Arts Precinct. Car 30, closely followed by another Z class tram are in the throws of switching tracks. |
