 Nearing the end of its days having passed through St Kilda Junction in April 2016 is citybound tram 35 on route 3a. The 3a diverts through St Kilda at the weekends, nose to tail with the 16 in both directions!

 Arriving at the St Kilda Junction tram stop on a glorious day in November 2014 is citybound tram 71. The junction is not only a major road intersection tram routes 5 and 64 fork left for the Dandenong Road, the 3 and 67 head straight on along the Brighton Road and the 3a and 16 turn right for St Kilda.
