Seen in June 2013 this photo of preserved dual purpose RELH6L RLE747 (GCL349N) was taken at the Wythall Transport Museum. It is in a part of their grounds with some other buses under restoration. A Midland Red D9 can be seen in a poor state at the back. |

Sister vehicle RLE746 (GCL348N) is seen in service, probably in the late seventies, heading to Norwich. Eastern Counties had its RE fleet with both coach bodies and, like this pair, bus shell bodied - but with coach seats - for express services. Whereas other companies used such vehicles on long distance buss services, Eastern Counties would use them on National Express work.
