This FLF model Bristol Lodekka is believed to be picking its way through the centre of Cambridge in the late seventies.

Leyland National LN761 (XNG761S) was seen in Cambridge Bus Station, probably on the same day. Joining the National are a former Scottish Bristol VRTSL6G and an early RE bus.

At first glance this VRTSL3 might be thought to be a forerunner of the Excel services in its flash livery, but VR303 (VEX303X) was one of ten standard bus seated vehicles diverted from United Counties and intended to be their 976 (VVV976W), another dozen VR with bus seats, in the same registration series (VR283-294), was intended for Alder Valley, many of which entered service in NBC bus livery.
