Still in the vestiges of Scottish Citylink livery is former Mairs 714 (P20GRT) one of the flagship Irizar Century bodied Scania L94IB coaches from the First Aberdeen headquarters operation. The coach, newly acquired from First Edinburgh and numbered 10, was on display at SHOWBUS 2001. Seen earlier in the year at Cobham is a sister vehicle, former Kelvin Central CS1 (P25RFS), now numbered 11, purchased for Glasgow commuter services and despatched south to Eastern Counties still in First Glasgow red. |
Alongside Volvo B10M coach 42 (R842DVF) at SHOWBUS international 2001 is a new Scania L113CRL with Wright Axcess bodywork for Norwich Park & Ride, 551 (R551CNG). Despite the registration it is not powered by compressed natural gas. |
To the right of 551 was First Uxbridge V44 (P244UCW), one of the fleet of specially liveried Volvo Olympians with Northern Counties bodies for the 607 Express between Shepherds Bush and Uxbridge. The Scania was featured as EFE model 27503. |
The Fruitmaster, RML2623 (NML623E) - one of three ex London RML Routemasters in the Eastern Counties fleet, is seen at SHOWBUS international 2007 as the Plaxton Gold Run arrives at Duxford with Woottens Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B12B W100TEN leading. One RML is in a version of Eastern Counties red livery, the second in something akin to Great Yarmouth blue and this one representing the Flying Banana fleet taken over in Yarmouth. Alongside are two other First London Routemasters, open top RM120 (SSL809) and RD39862 (562CLT). |
