 When the Luton Busway between the town and Dunstable was opened in September 2013, Grant Palmer, Centrebus and Arriva the Shires had buses fitted with guide wheels for use on the track. Seen in October that year was Scania Omnicity 152 (BU52WAY), the appropriate registration disguisng its previous existence as Anglian Bus 445 (YN03WRG), but was new to Metrobus as their 537. |
 Four years later Scania 153 (BU53WAY) is seen in the new two tone red livery. Unlike 152, this is a single door vehicle having coming from a totally different source, it was once Nottingham 500 (YN05GWY) but joined the fleet by way of Centrebus, their 725, as a replacement for the previous BU53WAY, which had been rear ended by a Centrebus Scania!

 Scania 151 (BU51WAY) was seen the same day and has a similar history to 152, former Anglian Bus 447 (YN03WRF) and new to Metrobus as their 536. It is seen in a bus jam after an Arriva Volvo failed on the Busway causing a queue to develop involving 151, a similar Centrebus Scania and other Arriva buses, creating a logistical problem for the operational staff.

 Grant Palmer introduced the first doubledeckers to the Busway. Seen at the Luton Transport Interchange in October 2017 is 706 (BU54WAY), former London Central WVL236 (LX06DZU), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL.

 Caught for the camera back in August 2010 is London Heritage Travel's RML2299 (CUV299C) on a wedding special for Andrew and Hannah out in High Wycombe on the infamous M40 Handy Cross roundabout. Withdrawn by Metroline in 2004 the bus' history is a mystery until it appeared with London Heritage Travel in 2010. It passed to Ensignbus in a dealership capacity and was bought by Grant Palmer in 2012 for use on special occasions, needless to say it does not get used on the Busway! |
