Metroline was a division of London Buses privatised in 1994. It acquired London Northern from Mersey based MTL in 1998. It also bought Scottish Citylink in 1998. In 2000 it was acquired itself by Singapore based Comfort-Delgro. Two smaller London operators, Armchair and Thorpes were acquired subsequently. Westbus is also now owned by Comfort-Delgro in the capital. It was the first operator to order the new Alexander Dennis Enviro400.
