 Dual sourcing as usual, Metroline started to buy Wright Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL deckers alongside Alexander Dennis Enviro400 deliveries, once the Volvo-Wright combination had satisfied more stringent TfL requirements, principally on noise and weight, with the B9 series. The first B9TL buses were also first in the new completely red livery with no blue paint to be seen anywhere, and a simplified fleetname. Seen in June 2010 in Hounslow High Street is VW1054 (LK10BXK). |

 Suitably incognito, B9TL VW1299 (LK12AUE) is at work on Olympic Shuttles in August 2012 being pursued south along the A12 by a Stagecoach Enviro300 and a Go-South Coast coach. |
