An entry at SHOWBUS 1999, 24 (GBJ192) was a very rare AEC Regent II with bodywork built at the ECW plant in Lowestoft. This bus was once in the fleet of the very small Lowestoft Corporation Transport Department. Alongside is another local and one-time SHOWBUS regular, neighbouring Yarmouth all Leyland Titan owned by Hedingham Omnibus.

The 2001 Showbus saw the Regent return with another ECW bodied product from the Lowestoft Corporation fleet. The second vehicle is preserved AEC Swift 2MP2R 4 (YRT898H). In the years between these deliveries ECW was nationalised and unable to sell to other than nationalised bus companies. So much as the Corporation would have liked to support its local manufacturer it was prevented from doing so, even though it was municipally owned. |

Some thirty years earlier the AEC Regent was seen withdrawn at the Corporation's depot alongside Massey bodied AEC Regent V 7 (917NRT).
