London Buses received a batch of 25 Optare Spectras in 1992/3. Oddly for London, all were singledoor bar one: SP2 (K302FYG). The fleet passed to London Central and when displaced from route 3 by contract loss to Connex, Go-Ahead moved them all to their Northern operations. Spectra SP2 had escaped London long before then and ended up with MK Metro by way of a Gloucestershire operator, thought to be Cottrells. Now 202, it is seen under threatening clouds at SHOWBUS in 2003. |

The bus is seen much earlier, in the Winterhill depot yard early in 2001. |

Seen at Winterhill depot in June 2001 is former Tillingbourne Volvo Citybus / East Lancs. It needed no livery change to blend into the MK Metro fleet but was rapidly moved on to the Burtons of Haverhill sister fleet. The bus was new as London & Country 683 (H683GPF). |
