Around 1970 Bristol Commercial Vehicles stand at the Earls Court Motor Show displayed a new ECW dual door bodied RELL6L with the fourth new look curved front body style in the "one-man" livery for the city fleet. Large numbers of these buses would displace the Lodekka fleet.
