Also in 2001 Miami Valley took delivery of thirteen longer D35LFs and ten of the more usual D40LF model. This D35LF, 2157, is seen working north of the city.

Not faring so well was one of the ten D40LFs, 2177, languishing in a sorry state out the back of the depot and seemingly the victim of a fire in the engine compartment.
