A number of vehicles roamed The Shires fleet in advert liveries, and more than one sports this lurid scheme for West Herts College. Roe bodied Olympian 5065 (BPF135Y) is a seen in Watford, the bus was transferred from Sovereign, but was reunited with other London Country original purchases at home in the North West division of London Country, now part of The Shires.

Seen in Thame Market Place 5101 (G651UPP), originally 651 in the fleet, before the renumbering and originally delivered with Red Rover fleetnames, this Olympian/Alexander is on the recently taken over Aylesbury-Oxford service. The route was run for many years by City of Oxford, until it encountered opposition from the Motts Travel Yellow Bus operation. The rationalisation that followed the Shires' takeover of Yellow Bus resulted in the 280 service passing to the Aylesbury & the Vale branded Shires division.

Suddenly the normally quiet Thame Market Place comes alive with buses. The two Alexander buses are on the 280 service, but the older ECW/Olympian is taking the slower and more undulating 260 route between Aylesbury and Thame. The Thame-Aylesbury section of the 260 had passed to Luton & District back in the eighties.

Olympians from this batch - which were new in the LDT red and cream colours - also worked the Luton - Dunstable services as seen here with 5094 (F644LMJ) in Dunstable High Street.
