Thames Valley received a batch of eight Bristol LH6Ls in 1968. They were downseated from 45 to 41 seats before entering service. Alder Valley 259 (RRX993G) was Thames Valley 202 and ultimately passed to United Auto as their 1494. The bus is seen in Thorn Walk, Reading in mid repaint to NBC red from Alder Valley (Ribble) red and cream. |
LH 268 (VMO228H) in a dark corner of Newbury depot was still in Tilling red which it had when new
as Thames Valley 211.

Bristol LH6L 536 (KPA347P) was delivered new to Alder Valley, one of a batch of seven in 1975 diverted from Southdown - which never got to operate the LH. The bus is seen tucked away in Bracknell depot when new. |
