L543, one of the large fleet of Northern Counties bodied Olympians, originally used by Kentish Bus is cream and maroon on routes in East Central London. With operations and vehicles now absorbed by Arriva, L543 is seen here on an early Sunday morning working on route 2 from the Marylebone terminus.

L556 (G556VBB) was new in the cream and maroon colours of Kentish Bus. The large batch of Northern Counties bodied Olympians were a distinctive site in the sea of red when first introduced. Kentish Bus, formerly the south east component of London Country was acquired by Northumbria Motor services and both companies ended up with Arrive via British Bus.
