Lincoln City 86 Daimler Fleetline DMS
Lincoln City Transport 86 (MLH490L) was another DMS to do many years service in the provinces. In fact it is one of at least five MCW examples that left London in 1980 for Warrington Borough Transport. This bus did seven years service with Warrington as their 94, but it ended up going for scrap in 1990. Its compatriots were Lincoln 83 to 85, prior to that Warrington 97, 96 and 99 and originally DMS1494, 1484 and 1504. There was a Warrington 95 (MLH487L), DMS1487 but that did not pass to Lincoln.

Chesterfield Transport DMS Daimler Fleetline MCW 166
MCW bodied Chesterfield 166 (MLK432L) was formerly LT DMS1432. When new it worked out of Walworth depot for seven years and in 1980 went the the city with the crooked spire. A good nine years more service in Chesterfield saw it sold to a dealer in Bristol and did another year with Davies of Dyserth in Clwyd.

Ellie Rose Travel DMS Leyland Fleetline MCW OUC42R
This anonymous MCW bodied DMS, OUC42R, was seen at the 2003 Cobham rally and from there went to Danny Chabaud in France. It is believed to be in the colours of Ellie Rose Travel of Hull who acquired it in 2001. Before that Country Hopper, Ibstock acquired it from Midland Red South (their 954) in 1996. It is one of many successfully converted to single door post sale by LT to Stevensons of Uttoxeter (their 52) in 1985.

British Aerospace Daimler Fleetline Park Royal GHV87N
Former Park Royal bodied DMS1087 (GHV87N) is seen here in use by British Aerospace. Its history on Ian's Bus Stop comprehensive site oddly makes no mention of British Aerospace though it is conceivable they sponsored it as some stage. It went from London service to Ensigns in 1981 the sometime in 1986 it was prepared for an abortive export to the Gulf but was bought by British Schools Technology for use as a Mobile & Resource Development Unit for use with primary schools. The London Borough of Richmond's Education Department used it, numbering it 630 until 1993 when it was withdrawn until late in 1996 when it was reinstated following extensive refurbishment. Eventually in 2003 it was sold to West Drayton Car Spares and used for night club hires, painted black and labelled "Bad Girls"!! In July 2006 it was acquired by a group of students in Hackney, but probably finding no "bad girls" inside they sold it for scrap two months laster.

Labour Party London Leyland Fleetline MCW KJD23P
The partial conversion of this DMS to open top could be a political omen for a party that never follows through! Former MCW bodied Leyland Fleetline DMS2023 (KJD23P) was recruited to no avail for the 1987 election: it is seen on the campaign trail in Cardiff. It languished with Labour until sold to Blue Triangle in 1993 who re-fitted a complete roof before selling it on in 1995 to the Church of Scientology in East Grinstead. It is thought it went for scrap in 2004.
