Born out of serving Heathrow's transport needs, Capital Logistics, once a subsidiary of National Car Parks, branched out into London Bus Service tendering and setting new standards all round. Their operations were ultimately acquired by Tellings Golden Miller and thence to Travel London and beyond.
|
After a long delay and various changes of operator, Capital Logistics took over route 60 with a fleet of low floor DAF doubledeckers, including this Plaxton President bodied example, seen here in Croydon on Sunday April 25th. The accompanying Optare Spectra deckers were about, but a Blue Triangle Leyland Titan was still plying the route from the makeshift collection of buses keeping the 60 going.

Like the Presidents, this low floor decker Optare Spectra, T129AUA, is bereft of Capital fleetnames. It is seen here loading opposite West Croydon Station on route to Streatham with a Metrobus East Lancs Pyoneer bodied Olympian on the 64 behind.
