Ensignbus' RT3232 (KYY961) working as a guest special on the 8 in Bethnal Green Road on Friday June 4th 2004, the last day of operation by Routemasters on the route. |
Preserved in Brown's Blue livery is former RT1347 (KLB596). The bus had been new with a Saunders body, but at its second overhaul in 1967 it received this Weymann example. In 1978 the bus went straight from Barking depot into preservation, it never worked for Leicester based Brown's Blue, once the biggest independent in the county. They sold out to Midland Red in 1963, but none of their buses were taken into stock. Preserved locally RT1347 is seen arriving at Donington Park for SHOWBUS international 2016.
