Classic was based at Annfield Plain. It became one of a number of companies that Julian Peddle became involved in and was part of his Status Group. Tellings Golden Miller took control of the company in 1993 which led to involvement with Arriva and vehicles have transferred between Status Group, Tellings and Arriva fleets. Ultimately the Classic coach operations were disposed of to J H Coaches of Chester-le-Street.

Seen four years earlier in the old Classic livery is Plaxton bodied Volvo B10M S6CLA. The layout of the livery on the Scania above reflects that used by the new parent company, Tellings Golden Miller. That scheme was originally a Plaxton design available to all operators. The location of the coach is a give away when you notice the white cliffs behind. |
Seen at Langley in 2001 is this Van Hool bodied Volvo B10M.

Working on shuttles for the London Olympic Games in August 2012 is another Irizar Century bodied Scania identifying as 8275 (TUI4840), a K340IB, originally registered YN07LHF. Interestingly it has been allowed to retain its fleetnames. Other vehicles had their names covered because of exclusive advertising deals that supported the event. |
