A very unusual purchase in 1964 was a pair of Daimler Fleetlines with MH Cars bodywork. They were effectively tagged on to a batch being built for Belfast Corporation. MH Cars in due course became Alexander's Belfast plant. These were the only two such vehicles to be delivered to the mainland.

MH bodied 41 (ALJ341B) is seen leaving Bournemouth Square.

Twin 40 (ALJ340B) is seen in its "blue" days. The maroon bands had been replaced by blue splashes on the side, but obscured in this view. The MH Cars bodied Fleetline is sandwiched between a pair of Atlanteans: Weymann bodied 176 (AEL176B) and Alexander bodied 252 (ULJ252J).

Along with several other members of the fleet MH Cars bodied Fleetline 40 has been rescued for preservation at is seen hosted at the West of England Transport Collection at Winkleigh in August 2013. Three years later the bus was bought via an online auction site and returned to Northern Ireland where it has been restored, not in Bournemouth yellow but Belfast red and cream. None of the 154 models built for Belfast survived. Its blinds have been changed from the distinctive Bournemouth style to Belfast's standard specification.

Alexander bodied Leyland Atlantean 277 (XRU277K) was also at Winkleigh but outside. The fleetnames are from its period with Vintage Yellow Buses, the operating arm of the Bournemouth Heritage Transport Collection. The Collection has ceased to exist and was sold at auction, many of the collection ended up at Winkleigh.
